When you're covered in tattoos, it's hard to remain incognito – but that's exactly what Jesse James's alleged mistress Michelle "Bombshell" McGee is trying to do.
"She's doing OK but laying low," says Milton Sillas, a tattoo artist at Tattoo Royale in San Diego who frequently works on McGee and has been in recent contact with her. "She's a tough girl."
For the past week, the mother of two has been at the center of infidelity rumors that have plagued the almost five-year marriage of James and Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock. James recently told PEOPLE in a statement that the "vast majority" of the allegations are "untrue and unfounded."
But during visits to Sillas's shop, the tattoo model often spoke about her alleged affair with James.
As early as last year, "I was working on her and she said, 'Guess who I hooked up with?'" recalls Sillas, who last saw McGee two weeks ago. "She didn't make a big deal about it. She was pretty matter of fact."
Calling McGee a "cool, laid-back chick," Sillas says that she didn't take her relationship with James lightly. Says Sillas: "She was into him."
