Katherine Heigl has been scorching headlines since last Thursday’s ShoWest Awards. She is one of the top most searched for celebrity in Google since yesterday. We all know the reason behind it don’t we? She wouldn’t have received so much attention even if she had won the Oscars. Let’s face it, wrong kind of things attract more attention in our society than the right ones.
There is nothing much to say about what happened. Katherine Heigl is being subjected to sensational journalism. All that happened was her shoulder strap came off during her Female Star of the Year award acceptance speech at the ShoWest Awards.
Katherine Heigl recognized the malfunction and grabbed the dress from falling off her left shoulder. Hollywood reporter Billy Bush walked in, stood by her side and held the shoulder strap in place, allowing her to carry on with her acceptance speech.
There were no boob flash, no nipple slips and nothing of that sort. Katherine was later seen posing for the cameras and her dress was neatly managed with a pin.
And people are going crazy after her pictures. The heading of my article is an example of sensationalism while the content of my article is an example of realism.
